Back to School

We took full advantage of the summer all the way up to the last day. August 10th was the first day back to school. I was very sad not to have Tyler and Lauren with me to get their pictures. So here comes a new school year and we our all looking forward to a great year!

OMG Tyler's 14

We were able to spend some great time this summer with our family and great friends. It was so nice to be able to have some quality time with all of the people we love and care about so much. Chris had to work a lot so he didn't get as much time to enjoy everything as much as the kids and myself did. We still all had a great time though. Tyler turned 14 and was able to drive the skis by himself. Not before he took me for some serious wave jumping in the ocean. I don't know the last time I have been that scared but I will never forget how proud he was when we made it over the first big wave. Chelsea and Lauren both got their boating license too. They can drive with someone over 21 behind them until they turn 14. I rode with Chelsea and Chris rode a lot with Lauren. They are growing up to fast. Mikey was able to spend some time with us too. He had a hard few weeks though and that limited his time with us. We missed him a lot when he wasn't there. These will be some great memories for all of us. We has the perfect summer.

We were s lucky to be able to spend our summer at the beach with The Mancuso's. We were able to see so many amazing things. When we would go over to Disappearing Island we would see countless dolphins and manatees. All of the kids had a blast.

Now of course Chelsea had to have someone to hang with too. So we had Erika over for a few days. We all had so much fun.

Chloe' made some good friends in school last year. We had The Dauderman girls over for some fun in the sun while we were at the beach. It was so good for Chloe' to have some good old fashion play time with girls her own age.
Most of the Murray family were able to get together for a cookout this summer.
It was great to see everyone after so many years. The kids have all grown so much. We had great food and made a lot of good memories. I look forward to seeing them all again sooner than later.

Mahnken's are ready for summer!

We have been so busy lately that I haven't had a chance to update our blog. We are all so excited for this school year to come to a close. We are ready for summer and some great family time together. As you can see we have been at the school a lot for all of the big end of the year events. This has really been a great school year for the kid's. I am so proud of all of them. Tyler worked so hard for perfect attendance and almost made it but due to a high fever he just missed it. (we gave him his present anyways because he definitely gave it an A for effort.) Chelsea and Chloe' both maintained straight A's this year and we were thrilled to learn that Chelsea was excepted into the National Junior Honor Society. Lauren is getting all A's and B's and we feel so blessed to have such wonderful children.

This is going to be a big week for us all. We have the end of the year school dance and Award Ceremonies going on. Not to mention Chelsea and Chloe' have their dance recital this Saturday night. Lauren is still doing amazing in violin. Tyler was nominated for the most positive mental player in football and basketball at the Sport's Banquet. Another big event was Mikey's graduation we are so proud of the man he has become. Everything is really going well and we are looking forward to a fun filled summer.

Chelsea is 13

Well I knew it was going to happen sooner or later and it did. On May 11th I became the mother of a teenager. I am still not sure when or how it happened especially when you take in to consideration I am only 21 myself. Chelsea is growing up a little to fast right before my very eyes. It breaks my heart to know she is getting closer and closer to becoming an adult. I am so proud of her. She has become so funny and I love the person she is becoming. I certainly am lucky to have her.
